The Graystones' story began in the sunny summer of 2023 between 4th and 5th grade, when Grayson and his sister Taylor, decided it was time to build a band of their own. They spread the word through their schools, chatting with kids their age, until they finally met Max—who loved music just as much as they did. For a while, it was just Grayson on drums and Max on bass, happily jamming together. Then Grayson and Taylor set off on a mission to find more young musicians to join the fun.
Musicians came and went, but little by little, the pieces started falling into place. They spotted Hope singing with her mom's band at a summer park concert and invited her to be a vocalist. Harin answered an online post for a keyboardist and fit right in immediately. Philip, their sax player, was discovered playing on a street corner downtown—his music floating through the air. Kyle joined thanks to a friendly recommendation. Ishaan saw one of their early shows and wanted to be part of the magic. Grayson invited Izzy to be a vocalist after hearing about her standout performance in their 5th grade school musical. And Evan, their trombonist, came along through a tip from the 6th grade school's band director. One by one, through chance encounters, new friendships, and a shared love for making music, The Graystones came together.
